Foxglove & Finch is an independent creative agency in Chicago’s Fulton Market. 290 people, 14 Effies, 2 Cannes Lions, and a firm rule: no emails after 7 PM unless something is actually on fire.<\/p>\n
The role<\/p>\n
You’ll be the senior writer on our consumer brands team, paired with a Senior Art Director. Your clients: Greenloop (natural grocery), Voltway (e-scooters) and Bramble & Oak (outdoor furniture). This year alone that means a national streaming TV campaign, a brand relaunch and a lot of very short videos.<\/p>\n
Hybrid: in the office Tuesday\u2013Thursday, wherever you like Monday and Friday.<\/p>\n
What you’ll do<\/p>\n
– Crack briefs and pitch concepts with your art director<\/p>\n
– Write across TV, streaming, social, OOH, radio and podcasts<\/p>\n
– Present your work to clients and defend it with a smile<\/p>\n
– Mentor two junior writers<\/p>\n
– Help shape the voice of brands from the first line<\/p>\n
What you need<\/p>\n
– 6+ years as a copywriter at an agency or in-house creative team<\/p>\n
– A portfolio with integrated campaigns you can walk us through<\/p>\n
– Experience presenting directly to clients<\/p>\n
– You can write a 30-second script and a 3-word headline equally well<\/p>\n
Nice to have<\/p>\n
– Award-winning work (Effie, ADC, One Show, Cannes)<\/p>\n
– Short-form video and social-first thinking<\/p>\n
– Experience using AI tools as a sparring partner, not a ghostwriter<\/p>\n
Pay and benefits<\/p>\n
– $105,000\u2013$140,000\/year + annual bonus of 5\u201315%<\/p>\n
– $2,500 for every Cannes Lion or Gold Effie your team wins<\/p>\n
– Stock options in an agency that has turned down every buyout offer<\/p>\n
– Unlimited PTO with a required 15-day minimum (we check), office closed Dec 24 \u2013 Jan 1<\/p>\n
– Summer Fridays: done at 1 PM, June to August<\/p>\n
