THE MISSION Four Grower\u2019s team is developing and deploying world leading AI and robotics to create a world where delicious, nutritious, sustainable food is accessible for everyone. Our robots interact with complex natural environments and navigate a space that\u2019s never before seen automation.
YOUR ROLE As the Staff Robotics Engineer at Four Growers, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge algorithms for our harvesting robot and analytics platform. You will collaborate with a talented team of engineers and researchers to enhance our product through advanced real-time, collision-free planning techniques. What you\u2019ll do:
Design and build robust and scalable framework that enables fast exploration and evaluation of different motion planning approaches and perception algorithms.
Research, develop, implement, and productionize state-of-the-art 3D planning algorithms, environment modeling techniques, and collision-aware kinematics
Interface with perception, robotics, and controls engineers in order to create a complete, real-time robotic harvesting solution<\/p>\n
NEEDED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
6+ years research and development experience in robotics \/ motion planning \/ perception
Deep understanding of mathematical fundamentals of different algorithms
Skilled in numerical optimization techniques
Experience with optimization solvers
Proven ability to produce computationally efficient software that can meet real-time requirements
Strong sense of ownership and accountability with a commitment to delivering high quality software
Proficiency in C++
Excelling problem-solving and communication skills<\/p>\n
HELPFUL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience with perception systems
Experience developing algorithms for time constrained problems
Experience with robotics arms
Experience with machine learning: deep learning, planning under uncertainty, prediction, reinforcement learning<\/p>\n
NEEDED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE BS Degree in Robotics Engineering or related fields
