About the role
Solstice is building the industry\u2019s leading AI platform to help pharmaceutical brands generate compliant, compelling content at scale. As our\u00a0Founding AI Design Engineer, you\u2019ll be the creative force behind how that content looks, feels, and communicates visually, bringing together classic design tools and modern AI workflows to build what\u2019s next in pharma marketing.<\/p>\n
You won\u2019t just be designing assets but you\u2019ll help\u00a0architect the creative system,\u00a0collaborating closely with our engineering team to build tools that turn human creativity into scalable, AI-assisted output. From Illustrator and InDesign to Figma and prompt-based generation, you\u2019ll shape a platform that fuses the craft of visual design with the power of automation.<\/p>\n
This is a unique opportunity for a multidisciplinary designer who thrives at the intersection of creativity and technology. You don\u2019t need to be an engineer, but you should be deeply curious, imaginative, and fluent in the tools shaping modern creative workflows.<\/p>\n

What you\u2019ll be working on
Work closely with engineers to shape the underlying system that translates visual intent, brand guidelines, and user inputs into automated creative output.
Design visual assets for HCP and DTC audiences using tools like Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Figma, including concepts for leave-behinds, social graphics, digital ads, and branded materials.
Contribute to designing UI\/UX flows that support prompt-driven creative tasks and enable non-designers to create on-brand visuals at scale.
Help shape how LLMs interpret and apply design patterns \u2014 through feedback, curation, and visual prompt refinement.
Establish creative standards that balance brand guidelines, aesthetic impact, and pharma-specific compliance needs.
You might be a fit if you\u2026
Have\u00a03+ years of experience\u00a0in graphic, visual, or brand design, ideally at a marketing agency or in-house at a healthcare\/pharma company.
Are highly skilled in\u00a0Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Figma, with an eye for clean, modern, scalable design.
Have familiarity with\u00a0HTML\u00a0(e.g., email layouts, landing pages, or understanding design constraints in digital environments).
Have a\u00a0strong visual portfolio\u00a0that showcases your ability to turn messaging into high-impact visuals across multiple formats.
Are\u00a0tech-savvy and AI-curious\u00a0\u2014 you’re not an engineer, but you\u2019re comfortable experimenting with LLMs, creative automation, and prompt-driven workflows.
Love the details \u2014 typography, spacing, layout, and the emotional feel of visual communication.
Are excited to build something from 0 1, and help define what design looks like in the AI era of healthcare.
Communicate directly and clearly, and thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
Bonus points for\u2026
Experience working with\u00a0pharmaceutical brands, especially with knowledge of MLR processes or regulated design constraints.
Familiarity with\u00a0prompt engineering\u00a0or optimizing LLM outputs for visual tasks.
Experience creating visual systems for content at scale \u2014 whether in marketing, branding, or publishing contexts.

Competitive NYC Compensation
This role offers a highly competitive NYC salary in the\u00a0$90,000\u2013$110,000\u00a0range, calibrated to reflect experience, seniority, and the level of ownership you\u2019ll take on as part of the early team.
