JOB DESCRIPTION\/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN<\/p>\n
Support sustainment and obsolescence mitigation projects for legacy components, including risk assessment, alternate part evaluation, and documentation updates
Support engineering changes by updating BOMs, coordinating validation\/testing, and preparing technical evidence for design reviews
Collaborate with suppliers and cross functional teams to resolve component availability issues and ensure long term product support

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
The Electronic component project engineer is responsible for executing component and system level sustainment, obsolescence mitigation, and design control activities for legacy electronic products.
Working under the direction of a Project Lead or Engineering Manager, the Project Engineer executes technical projects\/tasks related to product sustainment, component lifecycle management, engineering change execution, and validation support, collaborating closely with cross functional teams and suppliers.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
Years of experience: 4 years
Degree requirement: Bachelors minimum
Masters with 2 + years

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:<\/p>\n
Experience working in NPI projects
Component obsolescence and sustainment knowledge
Communication skills
