This Seasonal role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company\u2019s locations: The Madison Club, set outside of La Quinta, CA.<\/p>\n
The Madison Club is seeking for Seasonal Fine Dining Servers to join the Food and Beverage Service Department.<\/p>\n
The Seasonal Server is responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience for members and guests. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a thorough understanding of the menu, and strong attention to detail throughout the dining experience. As server, you will play an integral part in creating the Discovery Land Company experience for both our members and fellow team members.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Provide exceptional service and communication at all times with members \/ guests and team members.
\nGreet all guests and members politely and promptly, proactively anticipate needs to enhance experience, demonstrate sense of urgency for responding to guest needs during all interactions.
\nPromptly respond to all guest\/member requests.
\nPresent extensive knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, preparations, and specials; make recommendations based upon preferences, special requests, or allergies.
\nThorough understanding of all cocktails, wine, beer and beverages, ability to pair wine to menu items.
\nEnter all transactions accordingly into POS system, issue accurate checks, and close sales timely and according to policies and procedures.
\nBe attentive to any food allergies.
\nPrior to delivery of food, ensure all orders are complete and accurate according to individual specifications.
\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of work areas at all times, complete daily stocking, and adhere to food safety standards.
\nKeep the appearance of the restaurant consistent throughout the day.
\nEnsure daily opening and closing responsibilities are completed accurately and consistent with the departments SOP.
\nConduct inventory of all restaurant items as requested.
\nReport any maintenance and\/or safety issues promptly to the Restaurant Manager.
\nMaintain all equipment and be sure it is properly handled and maintained.
\nEnsure the department complies with all government, safety, health, and security standards.
\nAny other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n
The hourly rate of $21.35-$24 per hour is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.<\/p>\n
Skills & Qualifications<\/p>\n
High school diploma or equivalent.
\nAt least one (2) year of previous fine dining serving experience in a full-service environment, preferably at a fast paced, high-end restaurant, club, or resort.
\nKnowledge of HACCP & local food safety standards; possesses or can obtain State Food Safety Certificate.
\nRobust knowledgeable of wines and beverage.
\nExtraordinary attention to detail, quality and service.<\/p>\n
Additional Requirements<\/p>\n
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
\nMust be able to work flexible work hours\/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
\nAbility to work in a team environment.
\nAbility to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
\nAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
\nAbility to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
\nMust be available to work Full season September 29th, 2025 – June 17th, 2026.<\/p>\n
