Responsibilities
\nWhat you’ll do:<\/p>\n
Reimagine manufacturing and develop the technology and solution roadmaps to make it a reality.
\nUnderstand the manufacturing Bill of Process and deliver vision solutions in every step of the process, including machine guidance, process confirmation, quality inspection, and other areas where vision may aid and inform the process
\nLead a team of experts in the field of machine vision \u2013 assessing new technology, developing solution sets for various manufacturing applications, developing standards, and successfully delivering first implementations into manufacturing processes
\nLead a team of software developers in developing mature and robust solutions that support efficient processes for feasibility, tool selection, implementation, process validation, and sustainability.
\nDevelop solutions that concurrently engineer product, process, and technology to deliver a robust and optimized process
\nBenchmark new advanced technologies and develop supplier partnerships to deliver manufacturing solutions
\nTeach\/Coach\/Mentor employees, peers, and leadership; document technical knowledge and establish standards.
\nProvide technical leadership to assess the capability of a technology, assure the delivery of system performance, and project management skills to achieve desired timing.
\nEnsure the identification of lessons learned and their application to subsequent systems.<\/p>\n
Qualifications
\nMinimum Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Engineering or related discipline
\n5+ years of practical experience testing and implementing machine vision solutions
\nSoftware development experience, preferably full stack, with emphasis on AI Vision systems and code quality and testing
\n5+ years direct experience with manufacturing (operations and\/or manufacturing engineering)
\nSelf-motivated, organized, curious, creative, hands-on, and collaborative individual
\nEnergetic individual who can motivate and lead cross-functional teams to achieve things that have never been done before
\nDemonstrated experience managing multiple projects at once with great attention to detail<\/p>\n
Preferred Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Experience in developing and launching manufacturing processes, equipment specification and installation, and project management
\nExperience leading cross-functional teams, preferably in a creative environment
\nKnowledge and experience with Ford IT Systems and architecture standards
