Given faculty retirements and increased student enrollment, the department of Applied Design is hiring several tenure-track positions to fill these needs. The department includes design studios, 12,000 square feet of prototyping space, computer labs and designated classrooms.<\/p>\n<p>The Industrial Design program challenges students through industry collaborations and studio projects to develop a comprehensive knowledge base and skill set to succeed professionally. App State IND students\u2019 work has been recognized in both national and international venues including WantedDesign\u00ae, SaloneSatellite\u00ae in Milan, Designboom\u00ae Mart Copenhagen, ICFF in New York, Dwell\u00ae on Design in Los Angeles and the High Point Furniture Market. Additionally, the program has recently conducted sponsored studios with US Forestry Service, Kikkerland, Davis Furniture, GreenLifeTech, Reebok, WestRock Packaging, Wilsonart, and Eastman Chemical. The program currently offers international experiences abroad in Belgium and Prague.
