You will serve as one of two revenue recognition subject matter experts at the Company and ensure that Kikoff\u2019s revenue and revenue-adjacent reporting remains compliant with ASC 606, ASC310, and ASC326. Additionally, you will be responsible for revenue monthly close activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in revenue recognition principles, fintech experience, and the ability to collaborate strategically with cross-functional teams to shape new product offerings, evaluate new growth campaigns, and function as a key point of contact for all revenue-related considerations.<\/p>\n<p>What You Will Do:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop, implement, and maintain revenue policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with ASC 606 and ASC 310<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the accurate recognition of all revenue streams including lending, credit card, and subscription services<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile data between systems\/sources identify discrepancies and collaborate with data and engineering to determine root causes and propose solutions<\/li>\n<li>Play an instrumental role in the month-end financial statement close process by preparing journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and variance analysis<\/li>\n<li>Work with external auditors during the annual financial audit, ensuring compliance with revenue accounting standards, AR balances, CECL requirements and commissions policies<\/li>\n<li>Analyze and review contractual agreements to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance with credit loss policies<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with Revenue Accounting Manager to ensure the company\u2019s compliance with ASC 310 and ASC 326 CECL standards, ensuring that appropriate credit loss models are applied to the company&#8217;s loan portfolios and other relevant assets<\/li>\n<li>Research and review applicable sales tax calculations; review monthly sales tax filings<\/li>\n<li>Partner across multiple cross-functional teams as the leader for all revenue accounting related matters on new products, product feature updates, M&amp;A and business development proposals<\/li>\n<li>Critically analyze non-recurring transactions by properly identifying the accounting implications of various explicit terms and implied nuances, applying appropriate accounting rules and literature and exercising judgment in subjective areas to draw reasonable and acceptable conclusions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About You:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, ideally with a mix of industry and public accounting experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience working at or with companies in the fintech, SaaS, financial services<\/li>\n<li>CPA designation required<\/li>\n<li>Experience with ETL tools and other data transformation tools (Alteryx, Metabase, Snowflake, etc.) is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated success in leading revenue accounting functions in a dynamic environment managing multiple and changing priorities with ability to understand issues, demonstrate resourcefulness, and proactively resolve problems<\/li>\n<li>You&#8217;re passionate about building systems and process improvements.
