Duties include supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment. Tasks include but not entirely: Operate machineryused in the production or distribution process and assist machine operators. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards. Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected andnotify operators of any malfunctions. Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually orusing hoists. Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete. Mark or tag identificationon parts. Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, conveyances and trucks. Record information,such as the number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of product production. Work Environment: Warehouse is hot and humid in the summer months, cold during the winter months. High noiselevel requires use of hearing protection. Minimum 35 hours per week up to possible 50 hours per week, employees should receive at least one full day of rest within each six-day work period whenever feasible. Open 7 days\/week. Rotating shifts, 6:00am-6:00pm and 6:00pm-6:00am. Normal schedule includes 3 days on\/2 days off\/2 days on\/3 days off and may beFriday, Saturday, Sunday. Workdays and shift time may vary with production schedule. Breaks and lunch included within shift schedule. Employer may increase wage based on experience, performance, tenure,and\/or market conditions. Overtime hours may be available but not mandatory at $28.47 per hour. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Job Classification: 53-7062.00 &#8211; Laborers and Freight, Stock, and Material Movers, Hand Experience Required: No Special Requirements: No minimum education or experience required. Employer will provide on the job training. Must be able to work a 12-hr rotating shift, including weekends and holidays. Day and night shifts assigned based on need. Able to lift 50 lbs. multiple times during 12-hr shift. Bend and stand repeatedly. Able to push 80lbs onrollers\/wheels. Applicants must complete an employment application. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to work the entire contract period. Pre-employment\/post-injury or incident and reasonable suspicion drug test required, cost paid by employerand applied equally to all workers, US and foreign\/H2B. Pre-employment criminal background check required, cost paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, US and foreign\/H2B. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and otherrelated fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). If worker completes half the employment period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportationand subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the employmentperiod or where the worker is dismissed early, the employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costsof return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work,except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where theemployer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount oftransportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable commoncarrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per dayduring travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. All transportation costs are to be preapproved.If necessary, employer will reimburse worker within first pay period for approved cost of meals and lodgingat the applicable exchange rate, not to exceed reasonable costs.
