Sports Pro Physical Therapy & Aquatic Center is a PT-owned outpatient practice where PTAs are valued members of the clinical team, working alongside experienced therapists to provide hands-on, individualized patient care.<\/p>\n
For more than 20 years, we\u2019ve cared for a highly diverse patient population throughout Anne Arundel and Prince George\u2019s Counties, building our practice around experienced clinicians, individualized care, and genuine patient advocacy. Our therapists treat patients across a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and clinical needs, including general orthopedics, pre- and post-surgical cases, arthritis and pain management, balance and mobility conditions, high school athletes, and select neuro diagnoses, with the added benefit of on-site aquatic therapy.<\/p>\n
Due to continued clinical success and growing patient demand, we\u2019re hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Fort Washington team.<\/p>\n

As a PTA, you’ll work closely with our licensed Physical Therapists to deliver hands-on, evidence-based outpatient care in a supportive, patient-focused environment. You’ll play a key role in helping patients achieve meaningful outcomes by carrying out treatment plans, progressing exercises, and reinforcing education. This is a collaborative clinical role in a fast-paced outpatient setting where quality care and patient advocacy matter.<\/p>\n
Your typical day includes:<\/p>\n
Provide direct patient care under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
Carry out treatment plans established by the PT, including therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-ed, gait\/balance training, manual techniques as directed, and patient education
Treat a broad outpatient caseload with a focus on general orthopedics and post-surgical rehabilitation
Support aquatic therapy treatments as appropriate (PTA typically provides instruction outside the pool; pool entry is only as needed for patient safety)
Progress patients through their plan of care and communicate response to treatment to the supervising PT
Educate patients on home exercise programs, recovery expectations, and safe functional movement
Complete accurate and timely documentation
Collaborate with PTs, techs, and the clinical team to support patient flow and a high-quality patient experience

Active or eligible Maryland PTA license
Passion for the outpatient orthopedic setting
Interest in utilizing aquatic therapy as a treatment modality (experience welcome, not required)

Comfort working with patients across a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and clinical needs
Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour<\/p>\n
