Build the tallest timber building in Portland \u2014 and grow into a Project Manager in 3 years.<\/p>\n
Basalt & Cedar Construction Group is a Portland-based general contractor with 20 years in the Pacific Northwest. We build offices, schools, affordable housing and mass timber projects. 30% of the company is owned by our employees.<\/p>\n
The role<\/p>\n
You’ll join the team delivering Riverline Tower, a 12-story mass timber office building in the Pearl District ($68M, completion 2028). You’ll work side by side with a Senior PM and Superintendent, split roughly 60% office \/ 40% jobsite.<\/p>\n
O que voc\u00ea far\u00e1<\/p>\n
– Manage RFIs, submittals and change orders in Procore<\/p>\n
– Track the schedule and flag delays before they happen<\/p>\n
– Coordinate daily with subcontractors, architects and structural engineers<\/p>\n
– Walk the site weekly to check quality and progress against the model<\/p>\n
– Help prepare monthly cost reports and owner meetings<\/p>\n
What you need<\/p>\n
– Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field<\/p>\n
– 1\u20133 years on commercial projects (internships count)<\/p>\n
– Working knowledge of Procore or similar, Bluebeam, MS Project or P6<\/p>\n
– Clear written English. RFIs are your main tool.<\/p>\n
Nice to have<\/p>\n
– Mass timber, CLT or seismic retrofit experience<\/p>\n
– EIT certification or progress toward PE<\/p>\n
– Spanish, since many of our field crews speak it<\/p>\n
Pay and benefits<\/p>\n
– $78,000\u2013$98,000\/year + project completion bonus (5\u201310%)<\/p>\n

Relocation and visas<\/p>\n
Relocation assistance up to $15,000. We sponsor H-1B and TN visas for this role and support STEM OPT extensions (E-Verify employer).<\/p>\n
