Key Responsibilities As a Public Works Project Manager, you will:
\nDevelop project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful outcomes.
\nLead coordination efforts across project teams, ensuring alignment with goals.
\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
\nProactively identify risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
\nMonitor project deliverables to uphold the highest quality standards.
\nProvide consistent updates on project progress, milestones, and performance metrics.
\nManage project budgets and collaborate with financial teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
\nEnsure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
\nMentor and guide a talented team of engineers and designers.
\nLeverage your relationships and expertise to identify, market, and secure new opportunities.
\nWhat We’re Looking For We seek a highly motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring: Minimum Requirements:A North Dakota Professional Engineer License (or eligibility for reciprocity within six months of hire).
\nA Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
\nExpertise in civil engineering services, including public works infrastructure design, land surveying, construction oversight, and planning.
\nProven leadership and organizational skills.
\nExceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
\nFamiliarity with project management tools and methodologies.
\nEstablished relationships with North Dakota municipalities, districts, and agencies.
\nA history of successfully managing project teams and mentoring staff.
\nExperience in proposal writing, contract management, and client relations.
\nA track record of securing and managing projects within North Dakota.
\nPreferred Qualifications:Proficiency in Civil3D design software.
\nKnowledge of municipal design codes.
\nPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
\nMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times.
\nMust be able to work on active construction sites, which may include uneven terrain, exposure to varying weather conditions, and moderate to high noise levels.
\nFrequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
